A Birthday Celebration!

This week Pianodao reaches a milestone – it’s three years since the site was launched!

When I started Pianodao, I made a personal commitment to myself that come what may, I would plug away writing and developing the site for a minimum of three years before reviewing its future. Amazingly, three years in, I hear from readers far and wide who express support and appreciation for the site.

Moving forward, I am therefore even more determined to ensure Pianodao remains my free gift to the piano community – a site packed with professional content, encouragement and support for players, teachers and piano enthusiasts around the world.

And yet …

Three years ago I couldn’t have imagined the amount of work that it would take to develop, maintain and promote the site – let alone the time involved in actually writing the content…

What began as a hobby has developed into a valued online resource, making its mark on the teaching profession and broader music industry. This brings with it different expectations. Most weeks I spend between 10 and 20 hours of my working time producing professional content and servicing Pianodao.

You’ll have noticed that I have avoided the obvious route of plastering the site in commercial advertising to help fund the cost of running it. Also I have avoided sponsorship or affiliate links, which would compromise the independence of the reviews and other content here.

I want Pianodao to be as beautiful and enjoyable for users as possible.

A Birthday Gift

With all that in mind, would you consider supporting Pianodao?

A small voluntary donation to the site will really help me to keep the lights on and commit my time to adding all the great new FREE content planned for the coming years.

I have created some fun “beverage-based” donation options below – please show your appreciation and support by choosing to give whatever you feel you can, paying either via paypal or using a standard credit or debit card.

Remember – Pianodao remains FREE to all readers.
With your support I hope to keep it that way!
