Enjoy a wealth of piano music from beloved easy pieces right through to virtuoso concert works as students of Andrew Eales take to the stage and perform on the Chrysalis Theatre’s superb Yamaha concert grand piano.

The concert will feature players of all ages. As usual, the younger players will be performing in the first half, allowing those with small children to leave in the interval. The second half of the concert is devoted to adult students and will include a short performance by Andrew.

As always, Andrew encourages as many students as possible to take part, recognising that one of the most important aspects of learning music is to develop confidence playing to others. This will as always be an informal, friendly and non-competitive event, providing a great opportunity for players to develop this confidence, and hopefully have a lot of fun doing so.

Schedule • Timings

Timings for the event are as follows. Please do not arrive before 5.45pm.

5.45 : Adult performers welcome to try out the piano
6.25 : Younger performers arrive for warm up on the piano.
• Parents should please wait in the foyer.
• Children will be collected and supervised by a teacher.
6.55 : Doors open for audience.
7.00 : First Half
7.45 : Interval. Complementary drinks served in the foyer.
8.10 : Second Half

The dress code for performers is comfortable smart casual.

During the first half of the concert, all young performers taking part will be asked to sit on reserved seating, and in the order they are taking part. This will make the transition from one performer to the next as smooth as possible.

From the interval performers can rejoin their families elsewhere in the audience, and I hope as many as possible will stay for the second half. It can be incredibly inspiring hearing others perform!

Car parking spaces are limited at the Chrysalis Theatre, and some may need to park at the Peace Pagoda car park on the other side of the main road. Please be prepared to pay for parking as the Peace Pagoda car park is pay and display 24/7. Take care crossing the main grid road.
