Personal Mentoring and Advice

Andrew Eales provides one-to-one support and mentoring for piano teachers. Consultations are available in person or online.

You can book a personal mentoring session in person at Andrew’s studio in Milton Keynes, or an online teacher consultation session using either FaceTime or Teams. These are subject to availability, and the cost starts at £25.00, and is based on £50.00 per hour, pro rata thereafter.

Please confirm the purpose and desired focus for the session when booking, using the space on the form below, so that Andrew can be prepared.

Andrew may answer more straightforward questions via email without charge, rather than booking a paid session. He aims to support teachers with the best value option according to need.

Online Feedback service

Pianodao’s Online Feedback service offers a unique and flexible way to get feedback on your own playing, or a second opinion on your students.

For just £20.00 you can share a video up to ten minutes long, including one or more pieces, and ask questions about how to progress, suggestions for supporting students, teaching tips and ideas. Find our more here:

Teachers are also welcome to join the Pianodao Music Club, a private online community available to those who book a mentoring session, piano lesson, use the online feedback service, or support the site with a donation..

A Personal Message

I have been incredibly fortunate to enjoy a satisfying career as a piano teacher, working with local players of all ages and abilities for more than three decades, and teaching courses and workshops further afield. I’ve enjoyed surprising opportunities, met some of the finest teachers and players, and feel immensely grateful.

I remain passionate about passing on the insights, skills, and experiences I have learnt along the way, a legacy offered with gratitude to those who will continue the wonderful work of piano teaching into the future.

Reflecting on my career, I am convinced that the key to successful piano education is to offer a simple, holistic approach which equally addresses the mind, body, and soul: the player’s understanding, playing technique, and creative musicianship.

It is my joy to share this easy three-dimensional model freely with you, and much else besides! I hope you find the site truly inspiring, and that you too will experience an ever-increasing joy in your own teaching practice!
